Are E-Cigarettes Really Harmless?

Many people have expressed concern over the safety of e-cigarettes such as Smart Smoker, a popular type of device used to stop smoking tobacco. There seems to be a lot of misinformation on the matter, as some people seem to be even afraid of trying e-cigarettes, fearing that they might be more harmful than real ones.

The truth is that e-cigarettes are actually very safe to use – they don’t harm the user in almost no way, save for the effects nicotine has on your organism. Read below to find out exactly what happens when you take a whiff of an e-cigarette, and why they are harmless.

The process

When you begin to inhale from the cigarette, a tiny sensor inside it is switched on, detecting the flow of air. It then activates an atomizer, which acts upon a chamber filled with a nicotine solution, producing vapor. The vapor has the exact same taste as tobacco smoke, and because of the nicotine, it also produces the same physical effects.

The main difference is that this is not smoke – it’s simply vapors, and the difference between the two is huge - vapors do not harm your lungs like smoke does.

What about addiction?

Some people are worried that they might lose their cigarette addiction, only to become addicted to Smart Smoker. The truth is, quitting an e-cigarette is a lot easier than it is with real ones, and even if you can’t – think about it, you’ve already gotten rid of most of smoking’s harmful effects. No smoke means no damage on your lungs and body in general, the lowered price means you won’t be spending as much as you do on cigarettes, and you’ll also not suffer from bad breath to such a major extent.

There are hardly any downsides to using an e-cigarette. The biggest downside is probably the recharging process – because this is an electronic device, it needs to be recharged with electrical power regularly. Which means that if you don’t plan ahead, you may find yourself unable to smoke sometimes. But that’s all up to you, really – if you think well ahead, you’ll be able to prepare yourself accordingly. Something else you’ll have to recharge is the nicotine container, but the same principle goes here as well. If you’re organized, having to recharge your e-cigarette will be as much nuisance as having to recharge your phone – it will just become part of your routine.
